Do you know the word Shalom? It's Hebrew for peace. But as all translations go, the word "peace" is insufficient to describe the full intent of Shalom. Shalom means complete unity, harmony, connectivity, entire well-being, and it means God. Everything that God intended for us and this world for eternity. To me, it's the ultimate sense of calm, knowing my entire purpose, surrender, and relationship with God. When the world is crashing all around me, or at least sucking my guts out (Step1), I know that I can find release and deliverance from STRESS and troubles in Shalom. It sounds cheesy, I know! But, it's so miraculous that I know it came from something bigger than myself. Guys, you have to try it! It's so much better than chamomile tea+anti-anxiolytics+retail therapy. Here's a verse that I cling to and one that might come in handy one day!
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
btw, I'm blogging so much because it's my release...but yes, I will get back to studying right away!
