Frontal bite

Guys! I didn't blog yesterday! I am at my in-laws and they are redoing their flooring and doing some remodeling of sorts. The room the internet is connected to had to be evacuated while the polyurethane on the flooring dried, and so we didn't have connection till today. Sorry!

Well, I have been miraculously avoiding mosquitoes for the most part this season, and I was so happy I didn't have to deal with my crazy allergic reactions to the bites. Well, my in-laws, Burton and I went to Dairy Queen for some delicious post-dinner dessert. When I got back home, I went to the bathroom to...you know...but that's not the point. I thought I felt a pimple on my forehead, the ones that itch before they hurt, and so I scratched it. But the itch wouldn't stop, so I kept scratching. Before I knew it, the small "pimple" felt like the all-too-familiar outline of a mosquito bite. Oh shoot. Looking in the mirror confirmed it. I have a mosquito bite on my forehead.

Now, this little mosquito must not be the brightest crayon in the box. You want a juicy bite of flesh that will give you nice bounce and blood flow. Why would you aim for the head?! On top of that, why would you go for the frontal bone area?! There is no flesh there! It's one of the hardest parts of the body! I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt today. You could find my arms and legs even if you were blind. Are mosquitoes blind? Then, aren't they supposed to have a great sense of smell? I can't even be upset about this mosquito bite because I feel bad for this mosquito, that probably failed all his tests and barely struggled to make it through mosquito school. Sounds like my plight in medical school. Mosquito fail.
