Burton and I went to Shenandoah Valley for a week of "studation." Study+Vacation. We went there to study while relaxing and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Honestly, I'm glad we went because there was nothing to do! We spent a day going to the Shenandoah Caverns and the Route 11 Potato Chip Factory (yum!) but otherwise spent the week studying and hanging out with Alice. And Felicia and John for just 2 days.
Well, here are some photos from the trip that I took with my phone. I forgot my camera...freaking lame because the sights were amazing.
Domo kept me company while I drove
The "airport" next to our resort. The airport building and library building were the same. And it was the size of my apartment. Well, maybe the size of my fifth grade classroom.
At Route 11 chip factory! With our "mini" bags of chips!
Real bees!
Inside a big barn with all sorts of American farm stuff.
A view of the Blue Ridge Mountains that makes one border of the Valley.
The old entrance to the caverns....now there is an elevator!
Burton next to an old-school Coca Cola Ice Chest with Fanta from Mexico. Why are they selling Mexican Fanta in Virginia? I do not know. On the same vein, for every McDonald's in every town in Shenandoah, there were 1-2 Mexican restaurants. There weren't even as many Italian restaurants! I guess only white people and Mexicans live in Shenandoah...jk jk. But seriously, this place exists! I cannot make this up!
Some shots from inside the caverns. God is so amazing. And He sure knows how to create beautiful things!
My artistic shot of the day!
